Nirmal Rishi is a famous Actress and Theatre Artist. She was born on 27 August 1943 in the house of Baldev Krishan Rishi and Bachni Devi in Mansa, Punjab. Her name Nirmal was given by her village’s patwari after 2 years of her birth. She had 2 brothers, who died at the age of 2. In 1960, she started her career as a theatre artist. She was interested in sports, acting, drama, and bhangra since her school days. She had taken acting training in Patiala from her guru Harpal Tiwana. She made her debut in 1983 with the movie Laung da Lishkara. She is famous for her work in the Punjabi movies such as Ucha Dar Babe Nanak Da, Long Da Lishkara, Nikka Zaildar, Daana Paani, Guddiyan Patole etc.
