Devotional film “Nanak Shah Fakir” will be released on April 13

Devotional film “Nanak Shah Fakir” will be in theatres on Baisakhi this year, it means April 13. This Punjabi movie is a work in view of the life and work of Sikh’s first Guru, Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. This information has been shared by Harinder Sikka of Gurbani Media Pvt Ltd, producers of this movie, although Viacom 18 Motion Pictures will distribute it locally.

Sikka stated that “‘Nanak Shah Fakir’ isn’t only an epic film about the astonishing voyage of Guru Nanak Devji however calling to a superior lifestyle that we wish the people to understand. Audience will feel that movie is a portrayal of Guruji’s lessons that hold extraordinary pertinence even these days.

Sikka also introduced that, “The film takes after Guru Nanak Devji’s excursion over the globe, spreading the message of ‘Ik Onkar’ (there’s but one God), and equal measures of humanity in spite of caste, religion or gender. This film isn’t for the sake of income, as all the earnings will be given to magnanimous causes as per Guruji’s teaching of ‘Kirat Karo, Wand Chhako’ (live sincerely and offer with others).”

The film that has been adjusted in view of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC)’s input and they have approved this. International film festivals like Cannes, Sikh Film Festival in Toronto and Sikhlens Film Festival in California have featured the movie “Nanak Shah Fakir”.

The movie depicts Guru Nanak through computer designs and multimedia graphics, and the tracks of the movie have been rendered by melodic maestros Pandit Jasraj and Bhai Nirmal Singh and while music directed and tuned by Uttam Singh. Pearls of Indian entertainment or movie industry like the Academy Award winners A. R. Rahman, Resul Pookutty and Gulzar, introduced in movie’s music, sound and lyrics. The very talented and commended composer Tuomas Kantelinen has designed the original score of ‘Nanak Shah Fakir’. If we talk about the tracks, then one is sung by Grammy Award winning group White Sun and its well known vocalist Gurujas Khalsa of Los Angeles.
