Punjabi actress Wamiqa Gabbi roped in to play the quintessential role of Sivagami replacing Mrunal Thakur in Netflix’s Baahubali series: Before The Beginning. It is already a known fact that the Netflix web series is a prequel to the blockbuster Baahubali franchise helmed by SS Rajamouli. Furthermore, it is in making for the past several years. But, due to some technical drawbacks, it has been put on the hold.
Moreover, it’s based on Anand Neelakanta’s novel, The Rise of Sivagami, and displayed a fictional character Sivagami. She first featured in SS Rajamouli’s historic war drama Baahubali. Earlier, it shot with the actress Mrunal Thakur as young Sivagami. However, now it is all set to do again with a new team on board. Thus, as per the latest update, Punjabi actress Wamiqa Gabbi has been finalized to perform the character of Sivagami.
Wamiqa Gabbi, earlier, has made remarkable acting stints in Bollywood movies. She showcased her talent in flicks like Jab We Met (2007), Love Aaj Kal (2009), Mausam (2011), and others. According to sources, the web television series will be released by the year-end.
